This Week for Sunday

Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.  Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.  And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. – Philippians 1:3-6

We are family and I love my church family.  Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God for bringing my small family to SoHills for such a time as this.  Exciting things are happening at Southern Hills!  Lives are being changed, marriages are being restored, and people are being sent out to spread the Good News of Christ.  Our family is growing, yet our members are being discipled and cared for as individuals.  Our family knows the mission of the house and lives it out.

Whenever I pray, I thank God for using SoHills in our community and in the world. I thank God for giving our leaders a vision bigger than ourselves and I ask Him to equip us to make disciples who make disciples.  I ask the Spirit to continue to lead us as we take the next steps as He reveals them.

God has started a good work in our church and in each of us.  And He is faithful!  God will complete this good work.  It may not look exactly like we thought it would when we started the journey, but we can trust it is good and pleasing to Him if we seek Him every step of the way.

This week, as we prepare to gather again as a family on Sunday, listen to these songs and read over Philippians 1.

Well said Nicole. I love my church family! God led me to SHCC and I know His hand is on our mission. I’m grateful to be a small part of what we are doing. There have been so many amazing people within our church who have impacted my spiritual growth! Corey’s messages on Sunday was right on target. Obedience will always lead us to where we need to be!
