Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Do you see dark stains left by your sin? Or do you see the grace of Jesus washing over you?
What about when you look at your spouse? Are you blinded by pain from the past that you fail to see the forgiveness of Christ at work?
We can be quick to accept Christ’s grace for ourselves, but we’re not always quick to give that same grace away or to accept that Christ has forgiven someone who has hurt us deeply.
Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone,
Can change the leper’s spots
and melt the heart of stone.
The Spirit has the power to change your heart and the heart of your spouse. This Sunday we’re talking about marriage. Take the time to prepare yourself for the message and allow God to start working on your heart now.
Thanks Nicole!
I am living proof that when one in the marriage partner has a heart change, the other one will too! Heart change cannot occur without forgiveness!
