Do you ever think about what Heaven is going to be like? I do. And I look forward to it. John, one of Jesus’ disciples, writes in Revelation 4 that he saw four living creatures standing around the throne of Jesus singing “Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” (Revelation 4:8)
Think about the most beautiful arrangement of “Holy Holy Holy” you’ve heard. Now, imagine what that would sound like in Heaven, around the throne of God. Man, I get chills just thinking about it! I can’t wait to see Jesus! I look forward to being physically embraced by him. I look forward to hearing His voice and seeing Him laugh and seeing Him in all his glory.
During Christmas, we tend to think about Jesus as a baby, which is great. But let’s not forget to set our eyes on the finish line!
This Sunday we are singing an arrangement of the hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy.” I look forward to joining you and heaven as we sing. (I just got chills again.)
Here is the complete set for Sunday:
