This Week For Sunday

Easter is this weekend. The reason we worship together every week is because of Easter. Jesus has risen from the dead and he is alive. Nothing else would have mattered if Jesus would have stayed in the grave. But he didn’t. The weight of every sin and the weight of death couldn’t keep Jesus in the grave. Jesus is alive!

Sunday starts the new series “I don’t like your wife: the Church, the bride of Christ.”  Shannon will be reminding all of us that Christ is the head of the church and that we are the church.  We can’t separate the church from Christ; the church is His bride.

Invite your unchurched friends to church this week. There’s some exciting things happening this Sunday for those who haven’t been comfortable in church.

Here are the songs for this week. Share them with your friends to help them feel connected before they even walk through our doors.

I am a southern boy that loves to spend my time with my beautiful wife, Kelli, and my two boys, Liam and Levi. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and playing guitar, designing things, Braves baseball, being a husband and dad, but above all I love to worship Jesus… especially with music. I am a Creative Arts Pastor at Southern Hills Christian Church where I focus on graphic design and music.

Thanks Andrew! Beautifully said! Your love for Christ, as well as your family, is obvious in everything you do. We truly do celebrate the risen Lord EVERY Sunday, but this Sunday would be a great time to invite those who are not in church. If they could see Christ present at SHCC, maybe this would open the door, even if just a little!
